Cells are Gram­stain­negative, flagellated and coccus shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire and beige colored on TSA medium after 48 h incubation at 30℃. Cells reduce nitrate to nitrite and are positive for arginine dihydrolase, β ­glucosidase, β ­galactosidase, alkaline phosphatase, leucine arylamidase, valine arylamidase, trypsin, acid phosphatase, naphthol­AS­BI­phosphohydrolase, β ­galactosidase, α ­glucosidase, β ­glucosidase, N ­acetyl­ β ­glucosaminidase (API 20NE/ZYM). Strain K 33 T6 (= NIBRBAC000503076) was isolated from the gut of Korean dark chub (Nipponocypris koreanus) at Hwasun, Jeollanam Province, Korea. The DNA G + C content of the type strain of the species is 47-51 mol %.
