Democratic Republic of Congo's electrification to control forest pressure

•Using OSeMOSYS tool, we modeled 3 scenarios : Business as Usual (BAU), the policy of the national electrification plan (PHYD) and the introduction of natural gas into the country's energy mix (OILS).

•The objective of these scenarios is to confront the policy of the national electrification plan and to evaluate its performance in the new energy system of the country. This evaluation gives us an indication of the impact of electrification according to the master plan and the improvement of cooking technology in the redidential sector with a view to reducing the use of wood energy.
