Jump Start: Creating a Query Library for Code Re(use)

Code reuse saves time and can help automate repetitive tasks. Following several cross-departmental conversations and library-led activities, data analysts expressed a need for more practical avenues to reuse and share code, especially for SQL queries, used to extract data from medical records. 

This poster, presented at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Medical Library Association, describes the community-centered approach employed to develop a query library for researchers to reuse code to search patient and medical databases (e.g., EPIC) more efficiently.
