Description

This code package is used to approximate the aerosol number distribution undergoing atmospheric phenomena by applying the Finite Element Method (FEM) or Petrov-Galerkin finite element method (PGFEM) for the General Dynamic Equation of Aerosols (GDE), which describes phenomena occurring in the aerosol populations.

In version 2.0.0 support for the case where aerosol particle consist several compounds was added. The multicomponent General Dynamic Equation of Aerosol (MCGDE) is used to describe aerosol volume concentration distributions, and the FEM and PGFEM are used to approximate the temporal evolution of the volume concentration distributions.

Code package consists MATLAB .m files, which can be used to approximate temporal evolution. Current version requires some knowledge about MATLAB as process rates, initial distributions and temporal evolution parameters are inputted as code. However, example codes are provided in code package.
