A socio-psychological novel is a genre of literature that combines elements of social analysis and psychological portraiture of heroes. The main themes that are considered in such works are social justice, inequality, segregation, discrimination, violence, moral choice, personal growth and self-knowledge. A feature of the poetics of the socio-psychological novel is a deep study of the psychology of the characters and their interactions in the social environment.
