Andrena (Cnemidandrena) robervalensis Mitchell 1960

Description

Andrena (Cnemidandrena) robervalensis Mitchell, 1960

Counties: Beltrami, Clearwater, Kanabec, Pine.

Comments: This species identified with reference to Gibbs et al. (2017) and by direct comparison to a paratype specimen deposited in the UMSP. Five UMSP specimens from Minnesota, Alberta, and Manitoba were previously determined as A. robervalensis by B. Donovan and W. LaBerge, but they are instead A. runcinatae. As a result, historic records of A. robervalensis should be considered unreliable.

Material examined: Beltrami Co.: Chippewa NF (47.5430, -94.6526): 1 ♀ (MNDNR), 17 Aug 2020, E. Maxson leg., net, Symphyotrichum laeve; Kanabec Co.: Snake River SF (46.1319, -93.1991): 1 ♀ (MNDNR), 2 Sep 2020, D. Drons leg., net, Doellingeria umbellata; Pine Co.: Sandstone WMA (46.0733, -92.8306): 1 ♀ (MNDNR), 27 Aug 2020, N. Gerjets leg., Solidago sp.; Clearwater Co. [?]: Itasca Park: 1 ♀ (paratype), 26 Aug 1913. All determined by Z. Portman.
