Description

A key challenge for the European Open Science Call (EOSC) is to develop broadly applicable guidelines, tools, and workflows, and support their cost-effective specialisation for community-specific needs. Our “Fostering the uptake of RDA indicators in Systems Biomedicine as a measure for model quality and FAIRness within the COMBINE community” project, focusing on the application of the RDA indicators for FAIR evaluation of the community-specific COmputational Modeling in BIology NEtwork (COMBINE) model format, is a prime example for this strategy. The project, which is funded by the EOSC Future, aims to develop a guideline for the FAIR model design, to publish the RDA indicators specification and to develop a semi-automatic FAIR evaluation tool. Here, we will briefly report on the major challenges and will present our ongoing strategies towards a community-level standardized FAIR evaluation.
