The eNanoMapper Ontology v9.0: Semi-automated and Community-based Ontology Development

  • 1. Maastricht University

Description

The release of version 9.0 marks the transition of the ontology build to a GitHub Actions-based system. Since the build actions can be (programmatically) monitored, the new development cycle allows downstream users, like other NanoSafety cluster projects, to quickly react to new releases and integrate them into their own workflows. With the continuous discussion on domain terminology and knowledge representation ever changing together with our understanding of the chemistry and biology of NanoSafety, the eNanoMapper ontology will keep being supported and expanded with new community requested classes and properties in future releases to serve as a data curation  completeness standard in the domain.
