Yaşlılara Yönelik Kamu Konut Politikalarının Sosyal Haklar ve Yaş Dostu Kent Bağlamında Değerlendirilmesi

It is important to determine these criteria in accordance with the social state principle and to pursue a housing policy in this direction, since the housings produced for the elderly with private and state initiatives affect the quality of life and active aging significantly. To form a basis for the criteria, this study makes an evaluation to determine the daily life practices, social cohesion, problems, and expectations of individuals aged 65 and over living in social housing. The research was built on the embedded theory pattern to examine a process and interactions between people. The method of the study was chosen as the in-depth interview method, one of the qualitative research methods. The questionnaire of the research was created by the researcher with the support of the literature and applied to 13 participants over the age of 65 who participated in the research on a voluntary basis. Themes were formed through the recorded interviews during the research process and the analyzes were made on these themes. In this study, in-depth research was conducted on the concepts of aging and aging, the relationship between aging and economy, social policies for the elderly, the relationship between aging and the city, social housing, and Turkey's housing policies. The interviews were analyzed and discussed with the support of the literature. The first of the results agreed by the study is the expectation that the expectations of the elderly from social housing should be regulated by the state in accordance with their living standards. It is considered very important that the arrangements in the house are carried out with the support of the state and that the environment is organized in accordance with the age-friendly city criteria. Finally, it is thought that this study will be important in terms of its contribution to the literature, since it contains findings on the expectations of the elderly for public housing and includes the elements that should be considered in public housing policies.
