INNOVATION MANAGEMENT IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Innovation management is a management practice that aims to advance the organizational goals of innovation in the field. Today, almost all individuals of a society have to receive education in schools. Therefore, the education given by school organizations affects the entire future of a society. The most general effect of innovation in education is the change of society; The most special effect is that the individual is prepared for the society with positive changes. In this context, in this study, innovation management was examined on the basis of educational organizations. As a result of the examinations, it has been determined that the implementation of innovation management by school leaders in educational organizations will be faster and more effective. It can be stated that innovation management will strengthen the success in educational organizations and the relationship between stakeholders, with features such as having a vision, being supportive, encouraging, taking on the role of consultant, being open to innovations and new ideas, which should be possessed by school leaders. On the other hand, school administrators, who are responsible for the coordination and execution of all activities in schools, are of vital importance for the understanding of innovation in education to become established. Because, regardless of the national policies in this area, the quality of the innovation outputs in education depends on the attitudes and behaviors of the practitioners, especially school administrators. In this respect, the realization of the understanding of innovation in schools necessitates the existence of school administrators with innovative leadership characteristics. Otherwise, it can be said that school administrators and teachers will resist innovation and their efforts in this area will be in vain.
