GENETIC FACTOR CONTRIBUTING TO OBESITY THE PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN AND PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS FROM BOTH RURAL AND URBAN SETTINGS IN BAL'AD DISTRICT
Description
Globally Obesity is considered a multivariate syndrome that can negatively affect the whole body's functioning (WHO, 2005). They were previously common in highly developed countries, but in recent years a progressive increase has been noticed in developing countries, including Tanzania (Villamor, Urassa, Petraro, Hunter & Fawzi, 2004). They were also considered health conditions for adults, but currently, they are highly prevalent among children and adolescents (Wang, 2004). The present children"s morphological appearance in Tanzania entails reduced fitness and increased fatness, a condition that might result from long-term adiposity (Kafyulilo, 2006).
