Distribution. Euro–Siberian, temperate. From Kaliningradskaya Oblast to Irkutskaya Oblast. Outside Russia in Europe, countries of central Asia.

Hostplants: Betula, Salix, Crataegus, Prunus, Vaccinium, Ledum palustre and others deciduous trees and shrubs, sometimes herbs (Potentilla, Galium, Hieracium, Artemisia, Ononis) (Hausmann 2001).
