Description
4.2. Ludwigia epilobioides Maximowicz (1859: 104).
Type:— In moist sandy ground, island on the lower Amur, near the mouth of the Ussuri, at Chads Mare, 1855, Maximowicz s.n. (LE) (Raven 1963).
Distribution: —E Nepal, S Hengduan.
Note: —This species has long been misidentified as Ludwigia prostrata Roxburgh (1832: 420) (Chen et al. 2007). However, the seeds of this species are enclosed in a column of spongy, and easily to be distinguished with L. prostrata.
