Genus Ptilomyia Coquillett

Distribution. Not determined. Galápagos: Darwin, Santa Cruz.
Material examined. Galápagos: Darwin: sea cliff spraying, arid zone, 13.v.1996, S.B. Peck (5 ♁, 4 ♀, CNC). Santa Cruz: Academy Bay, lagoon, 1 km E CDRS, 18.ix.2001, B.J. Sinclair (9 ♁, 10 ♀, CNC); CDRS, littoral zone, 19.vi.2016, B.J. Sinclair (1 ♀, CNC).
Remarks. Adults of this species were collected in the arid and littoral zones.
