Electrification Pathways for Niger: Linking electrification analysis to long-term energy planning policy

This presentation constitutes the outcome of a three-weeks capacity building activity on GEP-OnSSET as part of the 2023 Energy Modelling Platform for Africa (EMP-A) workshop. The authors collected input data, set parameters, calibrated the model, and run electrification investment scenarios for Niger in order to explore pathways leading to the achievement of electrification targets. The results of this analysis are not conclusive, but rather the output of experimentation with the model and thus only indicative.
