Abstract: This descriptive research was conducted to determine the adversity quotient of the students in Bachelor of Science in Maritime Information Technology (BSMIT) at John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University-Molo, Inc. Respondents of the study were the ninety-five (95) out of one hundred twenty-six (126) or 75.40 percent BSMIT students enrolled during the first semester of school year 2008-2009. A modified standardized instrument, Adversity Quotient questionnaire was used in this study. Results showed that regardless of the grouping, students had “Below Average” adversity quotient. Differences in means and dispersions were observable.
