Elagabalus and the Aedes Dei Invicti Solis Elagabali in Rome: the Numismatic Evidence

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the evidence for the temple of the god Elagabalus in the centre of Rome, by making full use of the entire range of numismatic sources available: in particular, a previously unknown large bronze medallion struck at the mint of Rome.
