The ESG Knowledge Hub

In this presentation, we introduce the ESG topic complex and we discuss how the use of a comprehensive ESG knowledge model can support the implementation of ESG strategies in a multitude of ways. For example, to optimize ESG risk management, enhance sustainability reporting, and even provide rich information around ESG topics to all types of stakeholders, including supply chain managers, risk managers, and ESG strategists.

Based on Semantic Web Company’s ESG knowledge model, we mention several demo applications that illustrate the benefits of semantic knowledge graphs, especially when it comes to:

• Integrating and efficiently accessing different interests
• Hierarchical target systems (e.g. SDGs, EU taxonomy, etc.)
• Multi-layered regulatory conditions in complex, dynamic knowledge domains

Among other things, we also discuss how semantic enrichment helps LLMs (ChatGPT) elicit more precise answers to questions around ESG.
