Material examined. 3 ♂♂, 3 ♀♀ “ China, S Guizhou Maolan, 700-800m, 25°19’N 107°52’E Jatua leg., 5.VI.2012 ” (ZFMK).
Remarks. Based on the genital morphology, Microserica costisquamosa (Ahrens, Fabrizi & Liu, 2019) new combination appears to be closely related to the other species of the M. avicula complex, whose systematic placement is yet, nevertheless, uncertain.
