Polyglutamine disease in peripheral tissues
Description
Studies of Drosophila melanogaster polyglutamine disease models are reviewed, and the emerging evidence on the biological consequences in peripheral tissues from various animal models of polyglutamine disease are discussed. To conclude, new perspectives on polyglutamine disease research are addressed.
This review supplements our recent discovery in Drosophila currently available as a preprint at bioRxiv: "Juvenile and adult expression of polyglutamine expanded huntingtin produce distinct aggregate distributions in Drosophila muscle"
