The objective of this dissertation is to explore the rights of senior citizens and their social status in contemporary society. The study is based on a sociological perspective, and it aims to provide

an in-depth analysis of the challenges faced by the elderly population in society. The dissertation examines the social status of senior citizens, their access to healthcare, housing, and employment opportunities, and their participation in social activities.

The dissertation is divided into five chapters. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research topic, the background of the study, etc. Chapter Two presents the literature review on the rights of senior citizens and their social status. Chapter Three explains the research methodology used in the study. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study, including the socio-economic status of senior citizens, their access to healthcare, housing, and employment, and their participation in social activities. Finally Chapter Five analyzes the findings and provides recommendations for improving the social status and well-being of senior citizens and summarizes the conclusions of the study and suggests future research directions. This dissertation is intended to make a contribution to the understanding of the social status of senior citizens and their rights in contemporary society. The study aims to create awareness of the challenges faced by the elderly population and to provide recommendations for improving their quality of life.
