This is the first release of the text-mining and analysis code used for the Prichard et al., (2023) paper. The code extracts homologs from a list of organisms and analyzes how conserved each protein is across the list.

Make a clone of the repository or directly download the script(s). recommend Conda for PsiBlast installation (not necessary for the code but to get PsiBlast results argparse, re, pandas, and numpy packages needed
