The use of indicators in IPBES assessments and other global frameworks

The following document describes the work undertaken to assess the use of indicators in IPBES assessments and in other global assessments, like IPCC and Global Environmental Outlook (GEO). The use of indicators in these assessments was also compared to indicators proposed in different Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs), including GBF, SDGs, UNCCD, RAMSAR, CMS, CITES and ICCW. 

The datasets include all indicators extracted in assessments and MEAs (all_harmonized_classified_indicatorsMay24.csv) and the subset of indicators proposed in MEAS with their original names (policy_indicatorsMay24_orignames.csv).

This report and the datasets generated have been prepared for the experts of different IPBES assessments.
