Cracking process of granite

Description
The model I fracture pattern of granite was characterized by a mechanical platform with real-time visualization of the fracture process. Movies of the cracking process for 10 three-point-bending (TPB) specimens and 6 single-edge notched tension (SENT) specimens were captured. Furthermore, the fractures surface roughness of post-failure specimens was measured.
