Description

This dataset consists of a table and 4 timetables.

The table contains the correspondence between the water depth measured by the instrument at gauging station L4 (emissary of Seracchi Lake) and the wetted area in the outflow cross-section of the Seracchi Lake.

The timetables contains the water depth measured at gauging stations L1 (emissary of Rutor VII Lake), L2 (Marginale Lake), L3 (emissary of Santa Margherita Lake) and L4 (emissary of Seracchi Lake), where the first column shows the time of acquisition (UTC +2, local time) and the second the water depth measured by the instrument (m). The acquisition time step is 10 minutes for all instruments.

In L1, the acquisition started on 2022.06.20 and ended on 2022.09.17.

In L2, the acquisition started on 2021.07.20 and ended on 2021.09.14 ; then it started again on 2022.06.21 and ended on 2022.09.17.

In L3, the acquisition started on 2022.06.20 and ended on 2022.09.16.

In L4, the acquisition began on 2021.07.10 and ended on 2022.11.08; there is a gap in the dataset from 2021.10.14 to 2022.05.02 due to the water level being below the instrument's measurement point.

The waterdepth reported in the dataset is that measured from the measuring point of each instrument; the informations needed to obtain other related quantities (e.g. absolute water depth and water discharge) are provided in the corresponding article.

Notes

The presented dataset is the result of the multidisciplinary work of the cc-glacier-lab of the Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering, Politecnico di Torino. The research has been funded by the European Union with the Alcotra-Interreg project R.I.T.A and the Italian Ministry for Education and Research (MIUR), Dipartimento di Eccellenza, funded this research.
