Description
Pseudopoda flabelliformis Zhang, Jäger & Liu, spec. nov. Figs 108–109, Map 3
Type material. INDIA: Holotype female from India, 871(Budapest, NMNH0001). Paratype: 1 female, with same data as for holotype (Budapest, NMNH0003).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective flabelliformis, - is, - e, meaning “flabellate”, referring to the fan-shaped anterior margins of LL in ventral view; adjective.
Diagnosis. The female of P. flabelliformis Zhang, Jäger & Liu, spec. nov. is similar to that of P. minor by the V-shaped LL in ventral view, but can be distinguished by IDS partly covered by FW (IDS covered by FW in P. minor).
FEMALE (NMNH0001): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 10.3–11.1, DS length 4.3, width 3.7, OS length 6.0, width 4.3. Eyes: AME 0.16, ALE 0.26, PME 0.19, PLE 0.23, AME–AME 0.13, AME–ALE 0.07, PME–PME 0.18, PME–PLE 0.32, AME–PME 0.28, ALE–PLE 0.24, CH AME 0.35, CH ALE 0.30. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III 322, IV 331; Pa I–IV 001; Ti I 1024, II 2024, III 2026, IV 2126; Mt I–II 1014, III 3025, IV 3037. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 4.9 (1.3, 0.8, 1.1, –, 1.7); I 13.1 (3.7, 1.5, 3.5, 3.3, 1.1); II 15.9 (4.1, 1.7, 4.9, 3.9, 1.3); III 10.6 (3.2, 1.2, 2.8, 2.5, 0.9); IV 12.5 (3.9, 0.9, 3.1, 3.4, 1.2). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 22 denticles.
Epigyne (Figs 108A–C): As in diagnosis. EF nearly as long as wide, without obvious AB. LL longer in longitudinal axis. LL converged along on the central axis, anterior margins V-shaped. IDS butterfly-shaped in dorsal view.
Colouration (Figs 109A–B): DS reddish brown with dark spots, margin with thin dash line and brown patterns. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally reddish brown with a transversal white line in posterior part, ventrally dark yellow with a brown region in posterior part.
MALE: Unknown.
