ASSESSMENT OF THE STATE OF THE ANIMAL WORLD IN THE TERRITORY OF THE KENTAU URBAN AGGLOMERATION
Authors/Creators
Description
The article presents the results of a study of the wildlife of the Kentau сity agglomeration in South Kazakhstan. In total, 323 species of 285 genera of 138 families of 44 orders belonging to 11 classes of animals were noted. Of these, 16 species are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Red Book of the Almaty Region, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. According to the results of the studies (relatively low diversity of fauna elements, low abundance, with the exception of harmful and synanthropic species, infrequent occurrence), it can be concluded that the biodiversity of the wildlife on the territory of the Kentau сity agglomeration of the Turkestan region is currently disturbed. The identified violations in biocenoses indicate the need for a set of measures to preserve the animal world.
