Description
In 118 nations between 1960 and2016, our analysis revealed that, over the long term, higher temperatures are correlated with higher rates of urbanization. This correlation is significantly more pronounced than any short-term linkage. Evidence of urban sprawl or shrinking indicates an increase in the built-up area, which leads to environmental degradation in the urban region.
