Participative Practices of the Modern Spectacular Culture
Description
The purpose of the article is to reveal the participative practice peculiarities of the spectacle culture of the 21st century on the example of modern theatrical forms. Research methodology. Such methods are applied in this research: system-structural and analytical-synthetic methods (for structuring the conceptual-categorical apparatus and understanding the participation concept); the method of universalism (for identifying the common paradigm of participative culture); the typological method (for clarifying the peculiarities of participative practice manifestation in theatre art). Scientific novelty. The paradigm of spectacular art forms has been studied; the concept of “participative practice” in the context of modern entertainment culture has been clarified and supplemented; the culture of the viewer’s participation in a creative product is observed; the peculiarities of modern participative theatre activity are highlighted. Conclusions. The tendencies of the participative practice of modern entertainment culture are directly related to the phenomenon of participative culture — free, active and meaningful participation of people in cultural, artistic and social processes. In a complex interaction with artists, art form, group of participants, material aspects and activity continuity, participative practice contributes to increasing the personal and creative level, as well as provides support in the psychosocial aspect. The study of participative practice in the context of modern spectacular culture has proved that the theatre, as one of the types of spectacular art, can be a space in which the understanding of the basis of being arises. The participative theatre is a theatre that forms its activity on the meaningful and substantial participation of the audience, the theatre troupe, and partners; invites the viewer to dwell on what is available just at the moment for comprehension.
