Description

Introduction. This is the processed data for the manuscript HomeCoRe system for telerehabilitation in individuals at risk of dementia: a usability and user experience study . The main goal was to determine usability and user experience of HomeCoRe in patients with subjective cognitive impairment (SCI) and Mild Neurocognitive Disorder (mNCD) and to evaluate the association between patient familiarity with technology and main outcome measures.

Methods. Fourteen older adults with SCI and mNCD received a touch-screen laptop implemented with the HomeCoRe software for telerehabilitation. Usability was assessed in terms of treatment adherence and patient performance across the intervention sessions; user experience via self-reported questionnaires.

Results. Usability and user experience were overall satisfying with perceived easiness of use, enjoyability and high motivation during the use of HomeCoRe, and were overall independent from patient familiarity with technology. The next step will consist in performing a Randomized Clinical Trial to explore the effectiveness of HomeCoRe in neurodegenerative diseases.
