Description
Doppler imaging is still one of the most widely used spot modeling technique to date. However, its
application is restricted by the fact (among others) that it requires time series of high-resolution spectra in
order to properly resolve surface features. With the limited number of high resolution spectrographs, this
severely limits its applications. Here we carry out tests to see how the lower resolution blurs the details of
the Doppler images derived with our code iMAP. We also present three inversions for time series spectra
taken with the echelle spectrograph (R=21k) mounted on the 1m RCC telescope at Piszkéstető Mountain
Station, Hungary.
