Here we provide a Code-compliant description of Ostrea oleomargarita Oliver, Salvi, and Al-Kandari, sp. nov as reported in Salvi et al. (2022) and complemented with the ZooBank registration numbers of the publication and of the new species name.
Results of phylogenetic, species delimitation, and morphological analyses on which the systematic assessment of this new species is based can be found in Salvi et al. (2022).
