A Brain Quantitative Representation of Acoustic Neuroma: MRI Case study

Description

Acoustic neuroma (AN) is a slow growth benign tumor in the brain that is usually associated with hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is considered as one of the most accurate method for diagnosing AN. A case study of 42 years old women suffering from the AN is presenting in this case study. Structural and functional MR images were acquired. Also, audiological and some psychological assessment were applied in this case report. The lesion was measured, and brain volumetric and structural connectivity analysis were performed that provide quantitative representations of the damage may occur in the brain, which may be facilitated as indicators of the progress during the follow-up.
