Dîwân-i-Azraḳî (ديوان ازرقى).

Lyrical poems by Abû-almaḥâsin Abûbakr Zain-aldîn Azraḳî, the panegyrist of the Saljûḳ prince Ṭughânshâh I, see Haft Iḳlîm, No. 625 (col. 423 in this Cat.); Kbazâna-i-׳âmirah, No 2 (Bodleian Cat., col. 256); Âtashkada, No. 286 (ib., col. 272), where he is called a pupil of ׳Abdallâh Anṣâri; Khulâṣat-alafkâr, No. 9 (ib., col. 303); and Makhzan-algharâ׳ib, No. 23 (ib., col. 317). He died A.H. 527 (A.D. 1132, 1133). Other copies are described in A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 366, and W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 742. The earliest poetical version of the سندباد نامه in Persian is ascribed to Azraḳî, comp. Rieu ii. p. 749a, and W. Pertsch, loc. cit. The present copy of Azraḳî׳s dîwân contains:

Ḳaṣidas, on fol. 177b, beginning:

زنور قبّۀ زرّين آينه تمثال

زمين تفته فرو پوشد آتشين سربال

Rubâ׳îs, on fol. 212b, margin, beginning:

اى راى تو با ضمير گردون شده جفت

ظاهر بر تو هر چه فلك راست نهفت

No. 609, ff. 177b-214b, 2 centre-coll., each ll. 15, and a third on the margin, ll. 24-28; Nasta’lîḳ; illuminated frontispiece; the first two pages splendidly adorned; size, 93/4 in. by 51/2 in.
