Pezicula ericae, a new record of a mycorrhizal fungus from Pinus taiwanensis in Taiwan

Description
A Pezicula species was isolated from the roots of Pinus taiwanensis. According to the morphology, cultural characteristics, and phylogenetic analysis of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2) sequence of the rRNA gene, the strain was identified as Pezicula ericae. It is a new record in Taiwan. Morphological and cultural characteristics are illustrated and described.
