The educational mission of literature, known as ”art of the word”, is widely recognized due to its multiple aesthetic, moral, intellectual, and emotional facets. Literature is a fundamental component of Romanian Language and Literature as a school subject, and it is through literature that the students may gain the habits and skills that will serve as intellectual work tools. Literature is designed to help the student create a system of values and ways to analyze and interpret literary works and to develop an appropriate attitude to human values.
