THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE SITES OF THE FERGANA VALLEY IN HISTORICAL RETROSPECTIVE

The article discusses current trends in popularising the historical and cultural heritage sites of the Fergana Valley. One of the important directions is their involvement in tourist routes. The author presents several examples of using historical and cultural heritage sites in the regional practice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The problem of preservation of cultural heritage and the place of historical monuments in it are studied, which seems to be important and urgent at the present stage. Due to the fact that the issues of cultural heritage relate to a very important problem - the relationship between tradition and innovation. Given the large number of historical sites in our country, particularly in the Fergana Valley, the development of historical and cultural tourism in our country will be more profitable than other types of tourism.
