Description

The aim of this study was to monitor the cave mammals of Ojców National Park. This monitoring was conducted from the end of July until November 2020 in four caves along Jamki Gorge – Jama Ani Cave, Krakowska Cave, Mała Cave, and Sąspowska Cave – using non-invasive camera traps located in the entrance zones of the caves. A total of nine mammal genera/species were identified, four of them flying: mouse-eared bat (Myotis sp.), horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus sp.), lesser horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros), and long-eared bat (Plecotus sp.); and five non-flying: edible dormouse (Glis glis), murid (Muridae sp.), yellow-necked mouse (Apodemus flavicollis), shrew (Soricidae sp.), and marten (Martes sp.).
