Thai Script: The Romanization of Thai Script and Thai Magic Tattoos
Description
This paper aims to present an overview of Thai script with a touch on the use of tonal marks in pronunciation. Some data like the rhymes of consonant classes commonly practiced in Thai language class in the schools in Thailand are also demonstrated. The paper will present the development of Thai script and its components which comprise 44 consonants, 32 vowels, 4 tonal marks, and some other signs. The last two chapters will cover the romanization of Thai script as well as the renowned Thai magic tattoos.
