Description

Appendix B. Supplementary material

Supplementary Movie 1 presents a 3D view of the continents and mantle convection at each elapsed time point for the prediction of future continental drift (Section 6). The viscosity contrasts between the lower and upper mantles of ΔηL are 30 (Movie01_deta030_Yoshida_2023.mp4) and 100 (Movie01_deta030_Yoshida_2023.mp4).

Supplementary Movie 2 shows the time variation in the temperature and velocity fields of thermal convection for two models with a growing inner core (Section 9). The viscosity contrast between the lower and upper mantles is 101.5 (Movie02_deta030_Yoshida_2023.mp4) and 102 (Movie02_deta100_Yoshida_2023.mp4).
