Description

The mutual funds from the private sector banks, HDFC and ICICI, two each from each group, Top 200 Growth, Capital Builder, Top 200 and Top 100 schemes of Growth Option are selected for evaluation in the present context. Long standing and steady growth formed the basis of the selection. These funds are statistically evaluated by standard deviation, correlation with market index, and the financial parameters, Sharpe’s Index, Treynor Index, Jensen’s alpha, Fama’s Measure and M Square . The results indicate the supremacy of HDFC Top 200 fund over the others.
