Chavinia paradoxa Hammer, 1961
Distribution: Neotropical (Ecuador, Peru).
Records in Ecuador: Pichincha (between Quito and Nono, 8 km to Nono, Pasochoa National Park) and Cotopaxi (road to San Francisco de las Pampas).
Habitat: Moss from stems of shrubs from about 30 m above creek level, litter of dense creeping reed and soil from the bank of the creek. Moss and soil from a small clearing of the shrubby secondary forest.
