Mesoplophora (Mesoplophora) cubana Călugăr & Vasiliu, 1977

Mesoplophora cubana: Illig et al. (2007); Scheu et al. (2008).

Mesoplophora cubana cubana: Marian et al. (2020).

Distribution: Neotropical: Antillas (Cuba), Ecuador.

Records in Ecuador: Zamora Chinchipe (San Francisco Biological Reserve and Podocarpus National Park-Bombuscaro) and Loja (andean mountain region of the Loja valley).

Habitat: Bark, litter and the upper soil layer, especially from Graffenrieda emarginata litter. Litter fermentation layer. Soil and litter of pine (Pinus patula) and degraded forest.
