1D Grid Models for "A Broadband Thermal Emission Spectrum of the Ultra-hot Jupiter WASP-18b"

Description

Included in this directory are the modeled spectra and pressure-temperature profiles used in the WASP-18b grid retrieval presented in Coulombe et al. 2023 ("A broadband thermal emission spectrum of the ultra-hot Jupiter WASP-18b"). Models, produced by ScCHIMERA, are 1D and assume radiative-convective-thermochemical equilibrium (1D-RCTE).

Files:

  • SPECTRA_R250.zip: This file unzips into .txt files containing the Fp/Fstar spectrum at each grid point. Each spectrum is for a specified redistribution factor (1.0-2.8), logZ (-2.0-2.0), and C/O (0.01-2.0). The spectral resolution is R=250, from 0.5-5.0 microns. 
  • SPECTRA_R3000.zip: This file unzips into .txt files containing the Fp/Fstar spectrum at each grid point. Each spectrum is for a specified redistribution factor (1.0-2.8), logZ (-2.0-2.0), and C/O (0.01-2.0). The spectral resolution is R=3000, from 0.5-2.9 microns. 
  • PT.zip: This file unzips into .txt files containing pressure-temperature profiles at each grid point. Each profile is for a specified redistribution factor (1.0-2.8), logZ (-2.0-2.0), and C/O (0.01-2.0). 
  • ABUNDANCES.zip: This file unzips into .txt files containing gas abundances varied by pressure at each grid point. Each file is for a specified redistribution factor (1.0-2.8), logZ (-2.0-2.0), and C/O (0.01-2.0). 
  • Figures.pdf: This file contains figures related to the grid fit, including a spectrum fit, pressure-temperature profiles, a corner plot with parameter estimations, and a figure showing the effects of each parameter (redist, logZ, C/O) on the spectrum.
