SÚHRN
Galectin-3 (GAL3) je biomarker fibrózy s prednostným využitím v kardiológii, pribúdajú práce popisujúce jeho využitie v nefrológii, hepatológii a pneumológii. PIVKA II je kandidátnym biomarkerom hepatocelulárneho karcinómu a iných chorôb pečene. Literárne dáta o využití oboch biomarkerov u pacientov po transplantácii pečene sú zatiaľ obmedzené.
ABSTRACT
Galectin-3 (GAL3) is an emerging biomarker of fibrosis, used mainly in the field of cardiology; however, increasing evidence is available for the use of GAL3 in nephrology, hepatology, and pneumology. PIVKA II is a candidate biomarker of hepatocellular cancer and other diseases of the liver. Data on the use of both biomarkers in patients after liver transplantation (LTx) are rather scarce.
