FROM THE HISTORY OF MILITARY AFFAIRS IN THE EMIRATE OF BUKHARA (SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY - MIDDLE OF THE 19TH CENTURY)
Description
This article analyzes some aspects of the history of military affairs in the Bukhara Emirate in the second half of the 18th century - the middle of the 19th century. In particular, it is explained on a scientific basis that the military force and the army played an important role in the system of complex, unbalanced and contradictory processes during this period, and that the emirs of Bukhara carried out their domestic and foreign policy, relying on them. military forces. It should be noted here that in the second half of the 18th century and especially in the middle of the 19th century, the army of the Central Asian khanates in its structure, composition and military training lagged far behind the military forces of the advanced countries of that time. From the beginning of the 19th century, the rulers of Central Asia carried out a number of measures to improve their armed forces and restore the army. But these events were belated events, and the military forces of the Central Asian khanates could not resist the invasion of forces from the north - Russia, and were soon forced, according to sources, to surrender.
