Description
This 2022 online survey was conducted and evaluated by CODEX+ WP2.2, over the course from September to November. The "FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship" were published in 2016. They describe various requirements for research data regarding their findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability. In addition to general recommendations, the FAIR principles also include a number of concrete measures for the so-called "FAIRness" of research data. More at: GOFAIR - FAIR Principles
General questions about about the four FAIR categories (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability) will be asked over 20 question.
The aim of our survey is to find out to what extent the FAIR principles are already applied in the different projects across the NUM-Netzwerk (Netzwerk Universitätsmedizin). We do so in order to identify any further steps of how our work can improve the FAIRness of the projects. By the term "data" we refer to the data "processed or existing" in the projects in general (e.g. software or documentation). In the following, the term 'dataset' means: A dataset is a collection of related, discrete data that can be accessed individually or in combination, or that is managed as a whole.
