Promops nasutus (Spix, 1823). Sim. Vespert. Brasil., p. 58.
TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Bahia, Sao Francisco River.
DISTRIBUTION: Venezuela, Trinidad, Surinam, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, N Argentina.
SYNONYMS: ondila, downsi, fosteri, fumarius, pantana, rufocastaneus, ursinus.
COMMENTS: Includes pantana; see Goodwin and Greenhall (1962).
