Description
Vampyressa bidens (Dobson, 1878). Cat. Chiroptera Brit. Mus., p. 535.
TYPE LOCALITY: Peru, Loreto, Santa Cruz (Rio Huallaga).
DISTRIBUTION: Guianas to Colombia to Peru; N Bolivia; Amazonian Brazil.
COMMENTS: Subgenus Vampyriscus. Formerly included in genus Vampyriscus', see Jones and Carter (1976:25).
