TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Cape Prov., Cape of Good Hope.

DISTRIBUTION: Cape Prov., Natal (South Africa); Zimbabwe; Mozambique. Occurence outside Cape Prov. is doubtful; records from Zambia and Malawi are definitely erroneous.

SYNONYMS: auritus.
